Hopelessly Inspired.

It is no secret that I am a hopeless romantic. I fall in love with all things about life, and travel heightens those experiences, making me fall in love with life even further. But, this time of year is especially romantic. The stores are ready for Valentine’s Day, and there’s the cold chill in the air that makes you want to cuddle up in the arms of a loved one. Everything about February evokes feelings of first love.

I’ve always been inspired to travel, and fall in love, by movies, and while I posted a list of five travel romance movies in October, the list has grown over the past few months.

Maybe not all of them are perfect love stories, but these are stories of romance taking place all over the globe. Once in a while, you just need a good love story, and if it’s set somewhere exotic and far away from home, it’s even better. So, whether you have a valentine or not, if you love travel these movies will make you fall in love with the world, and love, all over again.

Midnight in Paris
On a trip to Paris with his fiancé and future in-laws, Gil walks around Paris at midnight and falls in love with what he discovers. This love story is not just about loving another person, but falling in love with a place while traveling.

Vicky Christina Barcelona
A love-hate story, perhaps? But, entertaining nonetheless. Two girls holiday in Barcelona and get caught up in a love affair with a married man.

Transfered to India to train his replacement, Tod struggles to adjust. But, once he surrenders to India, he begins to fall in love with the country, and a young woman who works for the company.

When in Rome
Angry after several events at her sister’s wedding, Beth decides to head to a fountain outside the reception. She jumps in and starts to take a couple of the coins. Unknown to her, according to legend, this causes the men who made the wishes to fall madly in love with her.

The Holiday
Two women, heartbroken at the holidays, swap homes in London and Los Angeles, and they wind up mending their hearts in the process.

Letters To Juliet
Set in romantic Verona, Italy, Sophie writes back to a letter that was in Juliet’s wall. She then helps Claire, the writer of the letter, find Lorenzo, a long lost love.

These movies no only showcase how beautiful love can be, but also how beautiful the world is. Enjoy not only the stories within the films, but also the scenery along the way.
